Jonathan Tucker BiographyJonathan Tucker is an American actor. He widely famous for his roles in the films The Virgin Suicides, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hostage, In the Valley of Elah, The Ruins and Charlie’s Angels . Also, he has featured in the television series The Black Donnellys, Parenthood, Kingdom, Justified, Snowfall and Westworld .Tucker is the founder of ‘The Pegasus Fund’, the nonprofit organization , which supplements the academic journey of top-performing students in under-served communities.

Jonathan Moss Tucker was born on May 31, 1982 in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a son of Maggie Moss and Paul Hayes Tucker. Tucker grew up in Charlestown, Massachusetts, and went to The Park School in Brookline, Massachusetts. He went to the Boston Ballet and played Fritz in their production of The Nutcracker for 5 years starting from the time when he was in third grade. Also, he  featured in a Boston Ballet calendar and attended The Thacher School in Ojai, California. Tucker started his film career by appearing in the early 1990s films Botte di Natale (1994), Two If by Sea (1996) and Sleepers (1996) before featuring as Tim Weiner in the 1999 film ‘The Virgin Suicides’.

Career and Fame of Jonathan Tucker

In 2000, he starred as Matthew in the comedy film ‘100 Girls’. A year later, he co-starred with Tilda Swinton and Josh Lucas in Sundance hit The Deep End . In 2003, Tucker featured in much anticipated re-imagining of the 1974 horror film of the same name, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He appeared in the films Stateside and Criminal in 2004.In the 2005, Tucker starred as Dennis Cooper alongside Bruce Willis and Ben Foster in film Hostage. He featured in The Ruins in 2008 , a thriller based on the best selling book by Scott Smith and directed by Carter Smith, Sundance award-winner. While filming the movie in Australia, he practiced Transcendental Meditation to offset the loneliness, Tucker mentioned . In 2009 , he portrayed emerging artist Patrick Angus in  An Englishman in New York. Tucker featured in the 2010 thriller film The Next Three Days.

In 2010, he starred as Avery Phillips in Epiose”hard shell” of ‘White Collar’.He played the role of Mayor Bob Little in TV series Parenthood from 2011 to 2014. Also,Tucker co-starred  on the DirecTV drama series Kingdom.  Tucker also appeared as the crazy-eyed Boon  in the final five episodes of the TV series Justified on FX .Tucker starred as Low-Key Lyesmith in Starz’s Neil Gaiman adaption American Gods , continuing his relationship with Bryan Fuller. On Nick Jonas’s album ‘Last Year Was Complicated'(2016), he co-wrote the song “Champagne Problems”. He has alos featured as Private First Class Robert Zussman in the video game ‘Call of Duty: WWII’. ‘Call of Duty: WWII’ is a first-person shooter video game released in 2017. In 2019, Tucker did a main role of Frankie Ryan in season 1 of “City on a Hill”. Tucker will be starring as Rick Legarski in ‘Debris’,the NBC science fiction series in 2020.

Personal Life

Tucker is married to a daughter of Pulitzer Prize-winning economic historian Liaquat Ahamed, Tara Ahmed. They tied a knot on June 16, 2012 and t had twins born May 15, 2019. Tara Tucker is the director of development at a production company in Los Angeles, Identity Films.
